FREE Tutoring Under NCLB/List of Providers
As a result of the Federal No Child Left Behind Act, your child may be able to receive extra help in the areas of math, reading, and language arts. Students who qualify for the free and reduced-price lunch program are eligible to receive this free tutoring because the school is in its second year or later of “school improvement”.
During the 2010-2011 school year, all 10 available spots were filled. You can choose the free tutoring program that is best for your child. A list of providers that have been approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education are available at the Department’s website.
You may research more about each provider at the following link:http://www.doe.mass.edu/ses/results.aspx?DistrictCode=02210000
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Robyn Gurney, Title 1 Coordinator, at rgurney@mvyps.org or (508)693-2007 ext. 23.
